Privacy policy
Last updated 4 October 2026
This policy covers the by Crawford enquiry pages on this website: the free website build page and the managed website page. It explains what we collect when you use them, why, and who else is involved.
Who we are
by Crawford is a web design and SEO agency. The legal entity behind it is BY CRAWFORD LTD, and we are the controller of the personal information collected through this page.
Our registered address is Suite 129, Imperial Court, Liverpool, L2 3AB, United Kingdom.
If you have any question about this policy, or want to use any of the rights described below, email sam@bycrawford.com.
What we collect when you fill in a form
The free website build form asks whether you have a website, what kind of business you run, your name and your email address. A phone number and your current website address are optional.
The smaller "price breakdown" form on that page asks for your email address only.
The managed website form asks where the business is now, what the website is not doing, your name and your email address. A phone number and your current website address are optional.
With any of these forms we also store which advert brought you here, if the link you clicked carried that information (the campaign tags known as UTM parameters, and Meta's and Google's click identifiers).
What we use it for
To reply to you, to prepare a plan and price for your website, to arrange and prepare for a call, and to talk to you about working together. If you asked for the price breakdown, to send you that email.
We do not sell your details, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you made an enquiry.
Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
The Meta Pixel
These pages use the Meta Pixel, a piece of code from Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram). It tells Meta that a page was viewed and when a form was completed, so that we can measure our advertising and so that Meta can show our adverts to people more likely to be interested.
The Pixel sets a cookie in your browser and sends Meta technical information such as your IP address, browser details and the page address. It does not send Meta what you typed into our forms.
The Pixel is not used anywhere on bycrawford.com.
You can control how Meta uses this information for advertising in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The page works without them.
The Google Ads tag
These pages also use the Google Ads tag, a piece of code from Google. It tells Google that a page was viewed and when an enquiry form was completed, so that we can measure our search advertising.
The tag sets a cookie in your browser and sends Google technical information such as your IP address, browser details and the page address. It does not send Google what you typed into our forms.
You can control how Google uses this information for advertising in your Google ad settings, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The page works without them.
Who else handles your information
Netlify hosts these pages and receives and stores the form submissions on our behalf.
Meta Platforms receives the Pixel information described above.
Google receives the Google Ads tag information described above.
The calendar you use to pick a time for a call is provided by Cal.com, which handles your booking under its own privacy policy.
Some of these companies are based in, or store information in, the United States and other countries.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for 12 months from your last contact with us. If you become a client, we keep them for as long as we work together and for 12 months after that.
You can ask us to delete your details at any time, and we will unless we are required to keep them by law.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, such as the UK GDPR or US state privacy laws.
To use any of these rights, email sam@bycrawford.com. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes to this policy
If what this page does changes, we will update this policy and change the date at the top.
